Hi! My name is Anne Berry, I am an illustrator living and working in San Clemente, California. I studied Design at Orange Coast College before starting work as an illustrator and graphic designer for greeting card company, Bjorkman Bros, which distributed through Hallmark, American Greeting, and Recycled, among others.

I wanted to pursue picture book illustration further and while attending the SCBWI summer conference, I submitted my portfolio, and won the SCBWI Mentorship Program and the Portfolio Honor Award. In 2016, my portfolio won Honorable Mention. This introduced me to some wonderful authors and editors that started in my picture book journey!

I am drawn to any tale that is fantastical, whimsical, historical and maybe a little bit scary - and perhaps involves mermaids or cats, if possible.
