My name is Anne Berry, I am an illustrator living and working in San Clemente, California with my husband and two spoiled cats. I studied Design at Orange Coast College before starting work as a graphic designer for greeting card company, Bjorkman Bros, which distributed through Hallmark, American Greeting, and Recycled, among others.

I wanted to pursue picture book illustration further and went to my first Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators Confrence in LA in 2015, where I was lucky enough to win the SCBWI Mentorship Program Award and the Portfolio Honor Award. This started me on my illustration journey!

I am drawn to any tale that is fantastical, whimsical, historical, and maybe a little bit scary - and perhaps involves mermaids or cats, if possible.
